To Identify a Multipoint Door Lock
1. Check for manufactures stamp on the lock strip
2. Measure the width of the lock strip
3. Measure the Backset
4. Measure the Center points
5. What locking types are on the strip? (Mushroom, Deadbolt, Hook, ect.)
6. How many of those locking types are on the strip?
7. What color is the lock? (Silver, Stainless Steel, ect.)
8. Is the door UPVC, Aluminium, Composite or Wood?

NOTE:

Active door deadbolt enters receiving hole in face of inactive lock but only when inactive handles have been lifted and shootbolts engaged. When handles of inactive lock are turned up and shootbolts engaged, the mechanism in the receiver hole lifts up allowing the deadbolt to fit inside. SO BASICALLY: unless passive door is shut and shootbolts engaged, active door cannot be locked.
